4th Round Neighbourhood

My house for Rozita. A Gail Bussi design from the July's Stitcher's world magazine. As usual I changed some of the colors for the floss if I feels the colors are too light for the fabric especially the whites.
The bottom veins are ideas I got from the so many lovely LHN charts.
And here's the entire piece of the houses built .

Home of a Needleworker - Sisterhood Stitching Round

Except the name, thanks BJ for the reminder, my name is definitely too short for the space, so will have to think about what or how I should fill the space.

For now, its done!

Final of the SHS

I was so excited when I finally put the last stitch on the word 'needleworker' . Its the last and final word for me.

However, it somehow looks incomplete.....what I thought I am finally done is actually not to be...LOL , I missed the final band on top. I was too eager to mail the chart out to Charlene in Sarawak , the next recipient today and had overlooked that. So out came my needle and floss again.

Picture for that will have to be later.

Anyway, happy stitching Lene. A big thank you to both Nik, who prompted the idea and Jean of Little Needle Love to have offered the chart for the Sisterhood Stitching.

Thank you everyone for your visits and leaving me your comments on my last entry. I appreciate your visits very much.

The week that was

Another progress of my SHS. A few more days, I hope is all I need to finish this. Then its off to Charlene in Sarawak.
The 'something' that I mentioned in my earlier post was this. My foursome RR with MS - Cats theme. I've made into a bellpull for DD.
And this too. Mary Had A Little Lamb, a design by PS. I've stitched on Rustico Aida.
Changed some floss color and finish it into sort of a notebook with pockets for pens or pencils. Its my first finishing made into such . Its not perfect. as I was lost during lining the inside and somehow made it with all the flaws tucked somewhere within. Its a gift for DD's birthday.
Had been stitching this secretly. Was lucky that she did not bothered with my stitching this time as she was busy studying for her exams, all five within this few weeks. It started with State level, followed by the District level within a week a part. Next is 'Gerak Gempur' (for Science and Maths only) starting tomorrow. Last Saturday, she went for an entrance examination for a place in a Secondary school. Next will be her Trial Exam due in a week's time and the last, the final in the first week of September. Best of luck my dear!

Inside, I had pockets and even a little needle book that maybe one day, someday she could use it as a needlebook pouch.
For the back, the design comes from part of the main chart.

Lastly, a card for mom. Design from the Cross Stitcher's mag. Both Mom and DD shared the same birthday month.

Another progress on SHS

DAY 3 and DAY 4
I was not making much progress on my SHS since my last entry.
I was switching back and forth between the SHS, NRR and something else . Then I got carried away with another something during the weekends. I was back at my MIL's place and that's the place where the sewing machine is and I thought I'll give it another try. The camera battery also went dead on me for a couple of days and I never manage to get the replacement until yesterday.

I needed a solution and decided I shall concentrate on SHS until its done before I moved on to the next. I've got a couple of stitching datelines to meet for August as well as at work !!! Yep! yep! I'll be in deep water soon.

DAY 5 ~ was last nite

Close up of the house
The house takes longest to built but I'm getting there.

Progress of NRR

Sisterhood Stitching (SHS)

DAY 1
Needles n Crafts Connection (NnC), organized a Sisterhood Stitching round for the chart House of a Needleworker (LHN) and it was so kind of Jean from Little Needle Love to have offered the chart for the Sisterhood stitching.

I received my chart yesterday from Rose who stitched at a record of 11 days and this is what I have accomplished last nite. My fabric : Belfast Linen

JULY PRESSIE

My little gift for Jamis who is not into stitching or any serious crafting but enjoys stitching gift, I've made her a fob from the flower alphabet.

For Eling, whom I have shared many stitching moments with, an Etui box

consists of a Scissor Fob - E flower Alphabet, Carrie's Thread - Bliss and DMC Variegated 115 . The pumpkin pincushion came with the Etui arrived the morning of 13. Perfect ! except it arrived minus the birthday card...which had to be mail separately! ~ embarrassing huh?
