The festive catching up

This is another piece long in hibernation and from my UFO pile that I took  along with me during the festive holidays. It's one of my TO DO & TO FINISH THIS YEAR project. I have not actually listed any of the projects I have in mind on my TODO list, knowing me I will never be able to follow through the list. It all depends on my mood of that particular time, impromptu, always make do of a situation.
The last time I work on this, I  added a couple of cherries and blueberries.
That weekend, I have added the beaded raspberries' and strawberries. It is finally filling up.
Next I will need  some un-ripe strawberries, now that will need some time to produce
Freebie Biscornu design by Kristen Schmidth. This was almost done, except that little bee when I had to put it down for something else and never got to pick it up again to finish it until end of February. I have never stitch a biscornu with such different and interesting design in one. Since it's mine to keep I have made some colours change.
32count linen
Floss DMC
The lighting in my room somehow effected the color of the tea colored fabric looking like grey.
A weekend with some light meal after all the festive good food. It's also the day I rummage my fridge for anything left overs or what's left in the fridge after the festive seasons. One thing thou, there's sure are lots of mandarin oranges in the house.

It's Friday here, so wishing you a great weekend and thank you for visiting.

Finally an exchange, a biscornu

Finally I signed-up for an exchange with HOE. I believed it's my first exchange for the year.   I had the entire last week of July off  due to the Muslim Festival and yet I only managed to finish off my biscornu exchange in time for the mailing dateline. There were a couple of dinners in the week, a day to run some errands and a day at the Annual Popular Bookfest with Jamis and Diane and doing some girly things. With that, my week long holiday ended and so is July.

This is the biscornu that came from Kim McCool of Davenport and it arrived when I least expected it. It came a day after I mailed mine and two days away from the mailing date. That was pretty fast.
Kim wrote that her choice design, a freebie by coccinelle54 (I hope I got the name correctly)was stitch in her favourite color blue. She finished the biscornu with matching swarovski crystals.
It's so pretty! Thank you so much Kim.

And from me, this is what I 've stitched and mailed to my partner, Lynn Wantiez in Oklahoma, USA
This is a freebie design that I have kept for quite a while and just couldn't recalled the designer for now. My guess is Aurelle.
Fabric : Eveweave from my stash with DMC 712 .
Since I have no design for the back, I had to work out something and this is what I came up with from the original design. I am happy with how it turned out. It's been ages since I last finish a biscornu and so there was a bit of worrying when it comes to finishing. Glad it all went smoothly.
Thank you all who came by in my last post . We are having some wet days lately and hope yours are filled with bright sky and sunny days.
