Brickfields, known as Little India is predominantly an Indian enclave. It's one of the oldest part of Kuala Lumpur whereby currently undergoing re-development due to the re-location of the train terminal KL Sentral here since some years back. It's been one and half year since I started commuting to this area where Diane's college is located somewhere nearby. Apart from Indian food and it's culture, I have come across some amazing landmarks that are fascinating and captivating that became part of this Little India. Hope you'll enjoy the other part of my city.

The Hindu inspired Fountain at a roundabout, Ganesh Fountain. Look closely and you'll see elephants surrounding the fountain and below the large bowl.

Some bakes in October
Steamed Nyonya Nine Layer Kueh aka Layer Cake/dessert as it can also be called. I only managed 5 layers as I wasn't sure of how much layering my ladle could hold against the amount of my batter on my steaming pan. Hope I did not confuse you . That being my first attempt. Anyhow, I will need to improve a bit on the batter texture.

An eye catching Sam Kow Tong Temple with the monorail station just behind. I believed it's the lesser known temple compared to the famous Buddhist Vihara Temple.
Sri Kandaswamy Temple is one of the most prominent building established here

Overview of the main road
The city's newest mall Nu Sentral opens with big names like Sephora, Parkson, Levi's, Puma, Nike, Reebook, Starbucks, Samsung, MonkL, Burger King, The Loaf, Esspresso Lab among others . While lots of shops aren’t open yet, imagine that Nu Sentral will be a haven for those who rely on public transport to get around or before heading to and from KLIA due to it’s convenient location. Or like me waiting to kill a few hours in between waiting for Diane to finish class.

Another One of the oldest building, Malaysia Association for the Blind was established in 1951 on the initiative of Major D.R. Bridges, a soldier in the British Army in Burma who was blinded during the war in 1940's, He was assigned to work as a Welfare officer for the blind after his rehabilitation and subsequently became the first Executive MAB Director in the 50's.
One of the oldest Chinese School, Kuen Cheng High School, an Independant Chinese school meaning it is not receiving any federal government funding. Previously established in 1908 as an all Girls school until 2008.
