Look what came in a box........

A BOMB !!! .......scare not!a wonderful surprise package that first caught my eyes, yes, a bomb but sweetly fragrant, LOL a Bath Bomb, I've never seen anything like that before. Initially, i thot it was potpourri or something...the wonderful gift came from Margaret V, USA as part of my gift for the HoE Woodland theme Exchange.

the theme exchange is a fabulous pinkeep stitched over one, her first, in addition is a pretty card and notebook which accidentally got crop off while I was resizing, when I had carefully arrange to be snap, haiz... the finger working faster than the brain this morning .Close up of the pinkeep, her first Margaret wrote and i would never know if she hasn't mentioned it.
Thank you Margaret V, for a wonderful package , appreciate it very much.

A craft bag for auntTook me two nites to crochet this bag for my aunt who recently found back her passion in crochet. She has been crocheting scarf for charity and friends and on her recent visit, i noticed she carried her WIP in a plastic bag, secretly I thot I crochet her a craft bag with a little pouch for holding crochet needles. Sorry, the photos are as such, its from my handphone as my camera battery is dead. I completed this in time before she leaves for home on Monday, leaving me no time to get new batteries.

Rose Sampler and a secret project

My progress of EMS Rose Sampler todate and some yarn stash. I will have to blame Aw , I see her stashing a lot on yarns and knitting books of lately and in a way enabling me to stash too ;)

TROPIC, made in Spain, its 70% acrilico Microfibra and 30% cotton. I will most probably crochet and not knit on this.

A secret stitching project revealed
Remembrance, is the chart name by Midsummer Night Design, our gift for Margaret W, who lost her mom not so long ago. BJ, June, Jess and me took turns to stitched and it traveled from here to downunder and back.

This is part 3, left veins done by me before it went to Jess.
Part 1 - lower half stitched by BJ, Part 2 - upper half by June and Part 3 - left veins by me
Final Part 4 - right veins stitched by Jess in down under, now completed and delivered. Mission accomplished!
Thank you Jess for a photo of the completed piece!

Wanna bento? Then, check this out Emily's Busy World. Wonderful read and win yourself some bento, see post dated 19 October, you've got now till December 1st.

My pretty tweet tweet

My Bird Theme MA came from Janien in Belgium. This came last week and I was unable to put up this posting. In fact, I was like disappeared from the surface of earth for a while when my office lost all phones related communication to cable theft last week. When we finally got out phone lines back, the phone company messed up the internet connections leaving us all with no internet services until today.
The back of the MA....the photo shows all, that Janien has put a lot of stitching hours into it and my goodies that came with the MA..its one of the heaviest I've ever received in an MA. The bar of chocolate is yummy and opps...a blue floss is left out from the photo. So sorry Janien. Its a lovely blue DMC floss.

Thank you so much , Janien. I truly appreciate everything you've put in for me. Do you think someone stole my stamps on the MA too? (Look at the blank space next to the 2 stamps- far right)

EMS - Rose Sampler update.
My progress of the sampler as at 9th June. No new progress since...am I a bad SAL?

Thank you everyone for visiting and leaving me your wonderful comments. I am happy to have put up the tape measure tutorial and hoped its an easy one to follow. I feel like ages too since I last went on my blog rounds and will need time to catch up and I have something new to post...I'll do that a lil'later.

A slow week

Rose Sampler Part 3, a slow progress on this

Started something new, this is my Apple from the French Country III, my gift from Gwen L. Stitched this on 18ct and DMC 115 variegated.

Turkish Delights and a Pashmina shawl in the color of redwine from Mom who just got back from a trip to Turkey a couple of days ago. A package of apple tea was ripped open by my little missy who couldn't wait to get a taste of it (which is very sour by the way) but wouldn't touch this nutty box, lol

Thanks for coming by and leaving me your comments everyone, your words are my souce of inspiration especially at this time when the network connections is still not behaving and my keyboard gave up on me too, the caps lock just refused to lock..... its time I get a new one..yay...lol..... I could still get cutoff without warning or simply can't post what I've intended. Sad to say that my blog visiting will be slow. I will try to get as much coverage as I can while I can ;)

While I was away........

Completed Part 5 of the Old SamplerPart 2 of the Rose Sampler

The blue theme biscornu exchange from the EMS board came from Janien, Singapore. She stitched me this adorable little biscornu.

and my partner, Rachael in UK received hers

The Scissor Fob Exchange from the Hooked on Exchanging (HoE) also received by my partner.Coffee Break is the name of the design by Cross Stitch Happy and my theme for my partner Neila, USA. I took a peek into my partner's blog, thanks to the hint from Carol and found out that she loves tea and coffee drinking among other things. Although I could have stitched something from her fav designer but somehow this chart seems to be calling out to me again. I've stitched this before, LOL. Neila, I hoped you are happy with my choice too. I've put in a couple of sachet of teas and coffee from my country and a postcard of a tea plantation from my trip there not so long ago and as usual, forgot to take a photo of the back that has the initial 'N' :P

Have a cuppa and enjoy, Niela!
Thank you for your wishes, somehow I felt this CNY is a little on the quiet side, maybe because I travelled the first 4 days of CNY visiting an aunt in another state who fell recently and lost her memory and a great aunt whom I've never visited her during the CNY, a day spent at my mom's and another with my MIL at the temple . Wasn't home at my In-laws as I usually did and so missed all those relatives that came by.
