To a place where I sit and listen

Where the sight of blue ocean and wave crashing on the shores

 Where the smell of salt is in the air

Feeling the sand beneath my

 Befriending fishes twice a day

while keeping an eye on baby sharks in a distance for its mama or papa could be nearby..watching..preying....

Teenagers and young adults volley ball~ing in the sunset

Watching the sun leisurely sinks into the ocean

I could live like this forever, the ultimate cure to sanity with all my obligations erased from my mind

until the relaxed mind became curious to such find, looking every bit like a pineapple but  a tree

and the beautiful is brought in by the night wave onto the shores looking ugly, a reminder that perfection in life can never be

I couldn't snap fast enough before the G in the LAN got washed away by a small wave

and that its time to leave the white sandy beach and glistering sea and live life where I had left three days ago !

This is the island, Lang Tengah , Eagle Island, or more accurately, Eagle in the middle of the island...that's how the island got its name, eagle was sighted circling or flying in the middle of the island. In fact I spotted two eagles soaring in the sky, I was hoping to snap a closer view but it never came close enough for my lens.  This little gem in the South China Sea.

which is one of the smaller island out of a total of  9 Redang islands, a rather low profile island which means less populated (sometimes even unheard off ) compared to the overly crowded and overly commercialized island of Redang and Perhentian, its not anything near a 5 star, just a place to be away from the hustle and bustle of city life, no distractions as there's no wifi and no supply of daily papers to your room, no tv either (only in the common lounge area) as you are expected to get out of your room and enjoy the sea, feel the blistering rays of the sun, even mahjong playing in the open and go star gazing at night !

and oh! offering a smile and a nod to strangers who had become a familiar face by the second meal and hello or a good morning the next day !

A short break away from the city

DD must be pointing to the boat in sight! where we are going, we need to take a boat....
the boat ride and the view the boat ride did not excite DD.................LOL.....! just look at her !!!

Here is were we spent a couple of days ................on a white sandy beach
known as "Redang Lang Tengah" island

By the way, we took a detoured and went into Chinatown, and tasted this,

Roti Pau - (Roti in our national languange means Bread)

- (Pau - a chinese word means dumplings but this is no dumplings except for a coconut fillings, otherwise buttered)
almost all kopitiam (coffeeshops) have this
bread in their menu and best served with
hot black coffee ...mmmm.... 'yummy'

..............and there's a BBQ nite too....

This kind of 'kampung' (village) souvenir stalls can be seen along the riverbanks on the mainland where the 'jeti' (pier) is located.
Oh ! almost forgot.....we are a big crowd....37 paxx...friends and their family
and the end came too soon........
we bid farewell ...............everrrrryone looks tired
