Another 30 minutes or so, its done.
Standing at about 8" tall and 9" wide from the tip
of the longest branch across.

It will be travelling on along journey to Middlesex, UK end of the month.

Beads that turned into Butterflies

Spent an afternoon yesterday creating these beaded butterfly with my DD and also experimented with the colors . Its tiny, approximately measures 3cm by 3cm . It all started when a friend asked if I could get her some beads and a bead caddy after seeing my bead caddy. ( A teacher by profession, who suddently got an urge to do beads).  Still not perfect yet...Very experimental stage ! Would like to make a dragonfly too

DD has idea of  a beaded dress bookmark.
But really the idea with beads is endless.

More on beaded things of the knoty kind

Another showcase of my other beaded things that I got caught up with sometime during the late nineties or was it mid nineties ?

Pink used to be my favourite color, some many moons ago...like during the nineties

With just one bead

Something whimsy for Chinese New Year

This is the one that got me started And I needed a matching earring, I used to have this thing of wanting to match every piece
Red and blue is always the popular choice with matching earings

In baby Pink and blue with matching earings
Something very bonsai, I loved the vase of this that made to look like an tree trunk.

By changing the color of the beads for its flowers leaves and fruits, as well as building the trunks and branches on an artificial shaped log or pot, the miniature bonsai takes a different shape.

The other kinds of beaded things

In 2002, together with Eling, we were caught up with this 'Beaded Tree' thing fever.

I named this Baby Monk Little garden with silver and golden willow tree

Lucky Baby "Fat Choy" Tree

A miniature Bonsai Tree, complete with blossoming flowers and fruits. It stands approximately at 9" tall from its base to the highest top.
